1. What does being European mean to you?

Being European is more than just a geographical location for me – it's a fundamental part of who I am. I genuinely believe Europe is a truly special place to live. There's a wonderful feeling of connection knowing that almost anywhere I travel within Europe, in any vibrant city or charming town, I likely have a friend or acquaintance I can reach out to for a coffee, a drink or a meal. That sense of community and liveliness across the continent is something I deeply value. It makes Europe feel not just like a place to live, but a place to truly belong.

2. What would you like to accomplish in the ERF in 2025?

As the Communications Group Chair for the ERF, my main goal for 2025 is to help our members feel more connected and engaged with each other. We have an exciting initiative in the works – a ‘virtual coffee’ – which we hope will provide a relaxed and informal space for IBA ERF members to meet new people, share a bit about themselves and discuss their activities within the IBA. I'm really looking forward to fostering those connections.

3. Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?

Beyond my professional life, I'm a devoted family man with a big heart. I am also a black belt judoka continuously doing and loving this sport for more than 30 years. On a more everyday note, I have a little ritual of walking to work whenever the weather allows. On rainy days, it's public transport or a taxi for me. But even during those commutes, I often find myself bumping into people I know or even striking up friendly conversations with strangers. I really enjoy those little moments of connection throughout my day.
